Master's Degree in Psychology

General Training: each course has 45 class hours
Specialized Training: 15 class hours
Practices and Interventions I, II, III: 135 hours (practice), plus 45 hours of theoretical seminars distributed over three four-month terms
Final Project: 60 class hours
Language Proficiency: mandatory proficiency in one foreign language by the end of the first year of the program (B2 level – upper-intermediate).
Publications: submission of an article within 22 months of the program.
Course Schedule: Friday afternoon and evening, and Saturday morning.

In-person activities:
Year 1: 165 hours of coursework + supervision/advising
Year 2: 135 hours of practice and intervention + 60 hours of coursework + supervision/advising

 

Mandatory Courses:

  • Research Methods and Techniques – Scope and limitations of the scientific method. Research designs. The relationship between laws/theories and the scientific method. Qualitative and quantitative research. Research techniques. Research project development.
  • Writing, Research, and Intervention Policies in Psychology – Writing as a policy of research/intervention. Other ways of thinking and practicing Psychology. Writing and resistance. Writing policies and research in Psychology.
  • Approaches and Contexts of Intervention in Mental Health – Topics in Psychology in intersection with social and health discussions through the study of different theoretical approaches. Critical examination of mental health practices in different contexts.
  • Line I Seminar: Contemporary Clinical Practices, Public Policies, and Mental Health – Interdisciplinary studies in clinical practices and public policies focused on mental health. Discussion and development of intervention projects.
  • Line II Seminar: Social Practices, Organizations, and Culture – Interdisciplinary studies in social practices, organizations, and culture. Discussion and development of intervention projects.
  • Special Topic – elective course covering diverse and current themes, selected each year from the program’s course offerings.
  • Practice and Intervention I, II, and III – Contextualization and development of intervention strategies and innovative practices in different fields. Implementation of practices and discussion of intervention projects.
  • Intervention Seminar I, II, and III – Case discussions based on the presentation of completed practices and evaluation of interventions.
