This Line of Research covers a set of topics related to understanding the territorial dynamics, taking into consideration different action scales and analysis of social and spatial processes, historical and cultural diversity of each territory, management strategies and instruments, and territorial planning in distinct sustainability dimensions involved.
State, Institutions and Democracy
It focuses on studying the different levels of institutional capabilities, like taking the first step, managing and regulating territory management processes. It also analyses conflicts, tensions and mediates mutual understanding between public power and social agents.
Organizations, Market and Development
This line of research is dedicated to analysing regional productive activities, giving special attention to agents and social and economic organizations, means of cooperation and conflicts, each one set in different production and marketing organizational environments.
