Bureau for International Affairs
The Bureau for International Affairs has as its main goal the collection of information about the university system of the Mercosur countries and the European Union specially, seeking to:
- know the structure of the university system of the formers;
- investigate the insertion and the way the universities act within the regional context, establishing new links with common goals;
- contact fomenting agencies, either at Mercosur or the European Union levels, with the aim of obtaining resources to finance teaching, research and extension activities as well;
- propose exchange programs with other universities and/or research centers, which support programs in general from individual projects to Post-Graduation and improvement;
- provide the university community with information about domestic and foreign courses and the availability of scholarships;
- prompt the internal debate in order to outline policies of (inter)national academic cooperation;
- settle rules by which foreign visitor's activities (students and professors) shall be oriented.
