Languages and Cultures Teaching

The Languages and Cultures Center is becoming a space of reference to the development of communicative competence in foreign languages and of contact and knowledge of other cultures. Currently, it is located at Builing 3 Room 301B of the Santa Cruz do Sul campus of UNISC, and is administratively annexed to the Letras (Language and Literature) Department.

In the contemporary society, the knowledge of foreign languages and culture is viewed as a fundamental condition for the global integration and access to the knowledge produced by other nations. It is, therefore, indispensable for those who search for a good academic and professional education, and who wishes to enlarge his/ her world view.

With this purpose the University disposes a laboratory equipped and provided with the most modern technology in multimedia, CD-ROM, sound and video, besides the access to an updated bibliography on languages and cultures, which the participants of the courses can access out of classes to broaden their learning. The Center has a coordinator, the teacher Lissi Bender Azambuja, who gives advisement to the interested ones every Monday and Thursday, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

The Center counts on a group of specialized teachers, committed to the quality of the service offered and with constant updating.
